The Four Pillars of Personal Safety

Where: Leadership Development Center at Slippery Rock University Community College of Allegheny County

Fort Couch Road, Upper St. Clair These training modules will include live demonstrations, identifying dangerous behaviors of predators, verbal defenses, and understanding the realities and prevalence of violence. Learn to navigate your surroundings by developing the right mindset of situational awareness in areas such as parking lots, stairwells, and unfamiliar buildings. Learn "Power" tactics to prevent being victimized. Tips on business travel and hotels. How to handle rising stress levels (fight or flight response), pro's and con's of lethal vs. non-lethal self-defense options.

NRA Refuse to Be a Victim® Program
This seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime. Seminars can vary in length, and may be modified to suit the needs of a particular audience. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat or self-defense. Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow.
